The Strategic Planning and Development Team evaluates and pursues growth opportunities on behalf of MachineQ. We critically assess various structures, business models, and partnerships to help MachineQ grow in a smart and effective manner. The Strategic Planning and Development team is also responsible for financial and strategic planning activities including budgeting, building out the organization’s long-range plan, and identifying ways to accelerate growth via merger and acquisition opportunities.


Core Responsibilities:

– Assists in the development of MachineQ’s overall strategy and partners with leadership on high-priority strategic initiatives.

– Conducts business development and partnership discussions relating to the collection of feedback of MachineQ’s product and services, the distribution of MachineQ’s technology/product via channel partners, the selling of MachineQ’s products and services directly to customers/end-users.

– Identifies, evaluates and recommends opportunities to accelerate MachineQ’s business plan and product roadmap via specific merger and acquisition opportunities; supports the execution of transactions and oversees post-merger integration efforts.

– Partners with senior management to build business modeling and long-range financial planning.

– Manages ad hoc strategic initiatives, analyses, and projects relating to MachineQ’s strategy.

– Interprets the economics and business models of specific products/services, companies, and industry sectors. Effectively communicates results to senior management.

– Directs and participates in projects for environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses, and other studies related to the Company’s growth and profitability.

– Develops, mentors, and trains the broader MachineQ team.

– Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

– Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

– Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



– Generally requires 5-8 years related experience in either investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, relevant corporate, or startup environments

– Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field of study

– Masters of Business Administration is a plus

– Deep understanding of financial statements and valuation

– Financial modeling and experience with building business cases

– Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

– Demonstrated presentation skills to senior level leaders

– Strong interest or experience in technology, Internet-of-Things (IoT), Machine-to-Machine (M2M) , etc.

– Self-starter, agile, entrepreneurial, and a team player
